Why do multicellular organisms need transport systems
A
- They cannot get all the nutrients they require through diffusion due to a low surface area to volume ratio
- They are active meaning that they have high metabolic demand that need to be met
- They need a system to transport to help transport hormones, antibodies and waste around the body

-By blood passing through the heart once for each complete circuit of the body
