Q

Transplant defination

A

Transplant refers to the transfer of graft or a cell ,tissues organs from one site to another, or one person to another

The individual who donates is called Donar

The individual who receive is called recipients

Q

Transplantation classification based on the anatomical site

A

Orthothotopic
Where tissue is transplanted to anatomical normal site

Heterotropic
Where tissue is transplanted to another site
Thyroid tissue to sub cutaneous site

Q

What are vital and static transplant

A

Vital transplant are the organs which are thought to functioning in the receptor tract body
Eg heart kidney

Static transplant examples are arteri, bone
These are non living sturucture

Q

What is histocompatibility

A

Histocompatibility between graft and recipient
Prevents the rejection

It is nothing but antigenetically similar

Usually autograft and isografts are histocompatible

Also and Zeno are usually incompatible

Q

What are transplantation antigens

A

Transplantation antigens are the antigens of allograft where recipients mount the immune response

Q

What are the major and minor transplantation proteins

A

Major are MHC molecules
And abo and rh blood groups

Minor are
Peptides derived from the normal cellular proteins of donated organs

Q

Why the rejection is more when organs are transplant from the male to female than female to male

A

Graft tissue of male XY
Recipients is XX
So HY antigens are present in the graft
So this does not happen Inthe vice versa

Eichwald slimmer effect

Q

Hyperacute graft rejection

A

Characterised by the thrombosis of vessels and ischemia necrosis of graft

Mediated by the circulating antibodies specific for antigens on graft endothelial cells

Performed antibodies may be consequences of blood transfusion, transpl, pregnancy

These anti abo anti Hla

Q

Acute graft rejection

A

Occurs in days to weeks after transplantation

Mediated by the T cells mainly cytotoxic occasionally helper T cell and antibodies
