5 signs of stroke
1) sudden onset weakness in face, arm, leg, especially on one side
2) sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
3) sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
4) trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance and coordination
5) sudden severe headache with no known cause
symptoms of stroke
speech/language impediments, hemiplegia, loss of balance, emotional changes, memory loss, altered self concept, loss of intellectual function, depression
what does FAST stand for
F - Face (numbness/weakness)
A - Arm (numbness/weakness)
S - Speech (slurred)
T - Time (act quickly)
