Q

How do AC transformers work?

A
  • An alternative voltage is applied to the primary coil, which forces an AC to flow in the coil - This produce a continually changing magnetic field in the soft iron core - The field cuts through the secondary coil and induces an alternative voltage with it. This forces an alternative current to flow
