A

No.
Women are subject to more intense forms of social control. Those deviant were dealt with in ways more medical which involved care. Early prisons for women were parents of bastard children focusing on carrying out domestic jobs. Women were told in courts to feel worse for deviating if they had children e.g. neglected the children
