Topik 2 Peripheral Jt Mobilization Flashcards
Expain about jt mobilization
Passive by therapist
Slow movement
Patient can stop the movement
Aimed to decrease pain or increse mobility
Physiological movement
Can be done by therapist or actively by patient
Motion in osteokinematics
Accessoriy movement
Movement within jt and surrounding tissues but cannot perform actively
Motion in Athrokinematics
Type of accessory movements
Spin-
Radial head at humeroradial jt during pronation/supination
Roll-
Femoral condyle rolling on tibial plateau
Slide/glide-
One surface contact with other surface
Distraction- (tarik keluar)
Separation/pulling apart
Traction- (tarik ke bawah)
Longitudinal pull
Concave - convex rule
Jt surface slide in the same direction
Convex- stationary
Convex - concave rule
Jt surface slide in opposite direction
Concave- stationary
Indication of jt mobilization
Stiffness
Pain
Spasm
Effect of jt mobilization/ manipulation
-Increase jt extensibility
-improve jt nutrition
-increase ROM
-corrext posture and reduce pain
Contraindication of jt mobilization
- malignancy
- fracture
- pregnancy
- dizziness
Type of mobilization
- Passive ossicilatory movement -slowly/smooth
- Sustained stretching
