Binomial Classification
The binomial is the two-word Latin name given to a species. It is made up of the organism’s genus followed by that of the species.
The genus name has a capital letter. E.g Equus burchelli and Equus ferus

The taxonomic system we use to classify organisms is based upon the features they have in common and how they may have evolved.
Phylogenetic Trees
Phylogenetic trees show the evolutionary relationships between organisms based on molecular differences, the result of mutations accumulated over time.
