Dark sticky substance that forms when tobacco is burned.

The airways are constantly inflamed.
Emphysema
When the alveoli in the lungs can no longer function properly.
Lung Cancer
Tumor or growth that develops caused by carcinogens. Occurs in the lungs.
Leukoplakia
White patches on their tongues or the lining of their mouths.
Mainstream Smoke
The smoke that comes off the end of the cigarette.
Sidestream Smoke
Smoke that is exhaled from the lungs.
