regeneration of injured tissue, or replacement by CT (aka scarring)

ones that have limited ability to proliferate. Eg: liver, kidney, pancreas

why do some wounds heal incorrectly

due to infection, diabetes, steroids. Or due to abberant growth

- keloid scars: (an overgrowth of tissue in a scar at the site
caused by a accumulation of collagen - proud flesh: exuberant amounts of granulation tissue
developing during healing of large surface wounds
