  3. challenge current beliefs, obstacles that may resist change
  4. managers should show that they understand the doubts held by employees and concerns they may have that contribute to employee resistance

when the business is unfrozen, management is able to change policies, processes and culture

  2. provide support such as training, counselling to help employees accept the change

refreezing is reinforcing and anchoring the change into culture, without refreezing there is the potential for the business to gradually move back to old ways of doing things
