-Francis Viscount Lovell
-Stafford brothers: Humphrey + Thomas
What happened?
-All 3 broke out of sanctuary and raised a rebellion in the north and west midlands
-Stafford brothers arrested + Humphrey executed
-Lovell= crushed
Consequences for Yorkists
-Realised they needed a Yorkist prince in order to go against Henry
-Rules of sanctuary were altered, due to them fleeing
-Didn’t secure any Yorkist support
Consequences for Henry
-Proved how insecure Henry’s position was internationally, feared the power of France
-Faced several foreign opponents
-Relied on his family
Why was Henry able to overcome the threat?
-Sent armed forces to offer the rebels the choice of pardon + reconciliation OR if they fought and loss= excommunication + death
-Little enthusiasm
