What is used to treat it?
A
Treat with a single dose of an anthelmintic such as mebendazole the dose may need to be repeated in 2 weeks if infection persists.

How can not use mebendazole?
A
Children under the age of 6 months and pregnant or breastfeeding women should be treated with hygiene measures alone for 6 weeks.
It is not licenced in use for under 2 years
