Overgrowth of predominantly anaerobic organisms

How do you treat a woman with bacterial vaginosis who is not pregnant?
A
oral metronidazole 400 mg twice a day for 5 to 7 days

What other option is available if a woman who is not pregnant does not want an oral option?
A
intravaginal metronidazole gel 0.75% once a day for 5 days or intravaginal clindamycin cream 2% once a day for 7 days.

What at the options of pregnant women?
A
Same as for none pregnant women just they can not have the high-dose regimen of a single oral dose of 2g metronidazole
