Dissecting thoracic aortic aneurism
A
- Pain in chest that can radiate to the back
- Sudden onset
- Unrelenting pain that is not relieved by positional changes
- Emergency situation

Coronary artery disease
A
- Age ( greater than or equal to 65 females, and 55 males)
- Known vascular disease
- Pain worse with exercise
- Cant reproduce pain with palpation
- Patient assumes pain is from cardiac origin

Peptic ulcer
A
- Pain in epigastric region to middle thoracic spine
- Triggered or relieved by eating
- History of NSAIDS

Cholecystitis (inflammed gallbladder)
A
- R upper quadrant and right infrascapular pain
- Moderate fever, nausea, and vomiting (kidneys can have this too)
- Symptoms occur 1-2 hours after a heavy meal
- Murphys sign at R subcostal area
