What factors increase thirst? Name 2-3.

A
  • Increase in osmotic pressure in plasma (sensed by the osmoreceptors of the hypothalamus)
  • Decrease in ECF volume (sensed by the baroreceptors) - e.g. haemorrhage
  • (optional extras: psychological, prandial drinking, etc.)
