Describe the muscles involved in micturition.
A
Detrusor muscle of the bladder - contraction is responsible for involuntary emptying.
External urethral sphincter - relaxes for voluntary emptying.

A
Oblique passage of ureters through bladder wall keeps ureters closed except during peristaltic waves.
