Q

Generally describe how to age cattle

A

For the first 2-5 years we can very accurately age them by counting pairs of incisors and adding .5 so 2 pairs of incisors = 2.5 yrs old. Once they are 6-10 years old its a little bit harder but you can look at how many pairs have the tooth neck showing and add 1 to their 5 years -> a cow with 4 pairs of incisors and 2 pairs with the tooth neck showing is 7 years old.
