Anil behaves normally, selfless person sympathizes with Hari. Anil knew that Hari perhaps felt bad and guilty and kept back the notes. That mattered the most. It didn’t matter to him if Hari stole from him as long as he regretted what he was doing and realised himself

The author realised that stealing was a simple matter and so was getting caught. He realised that with education comes respect and cleverness. Education would really make you into a big man. Education is not temporary it is permanent unlike stealing.
