Describe the rrom, ausable and max, corridor
Room- small, sixth top floor , did not fit description of a romantic adventure
Ausable- fat, had an accent. \
Corridor - damp and musty
Max- avg height, crafty
How does Ausable trick Max?/ Does the earlier statement That Ausable does not fit the description of a secret aganet hold true?
Ausable tells him about a balcony that belong to next apartment. He tells Max that knowing such an event wld occur he had called the police to check whether everything was alright when they heard knocking on the door.
Max gets scared by this statement and drops to the balcony except he screams and falls to the ground. There was no balcony ausable made that up. There was no police only henry. This is how we know that Ausable infact is very intelligent and the stereotype about detectives are false.

Why does ausable say fowler was disappointed
Fowler was disillusioned
Ausable thinks he is disappointed, fowler imagine mysterious figures in the dark with pistols and drugs. Was told he was a secret agent dealing with espionage and danger
Instead he has spent the dull evening in a French hall with a sloppy fat man
