I do not wish to intrude…why does the poet say these lines?
The poet understands that this moment was an important moment for the child. It was his first time experiencing loss and he would have to realise himself how to bear these emotions and thoughts of losing the ball. He has to learn to face the harsh realities of life by himself.
What does the boy learn?
The ball that is lost is a small lesson in life. It symbolises prized possessions. He understands the nature of loss and how to stand up and bear this loss. This is what every man in his life must know and one day experiences. This is is his first step into learning how to let go.
Money is external explain this line
Money can only buy materialistic things. It can only replace materialistic things with more materialistic things but it could never bring back emotions and sentiments associated with the object.
Explain the line there is no use to say o there are other balls.
Everything in life cannot be replaced. The fond memories and feelings he had with the ball cannot be returned

The poet saw it merrily bouncing down the street and then it was o the water
