What is the main advantage of bioplastics?
They are biodegradable because they are not made from crude oil.

Tough - so that the product is protected
Lightweight - so the product is not made to be too heavy
Clear - so that the consumer can see the product inside
Economical - that is, easy to make and easily available
Aesthetically useful - that is, it can be made to look good and can be printed on

What are the properties of acrylic? What is it often used for?
Acrylic is stiff but brittle, it can come in a wide variety of colours and you can shape and polish all edges to a high gloss. It is used for point of sale stands.
