A
The process through which the designer actually states what he or she wants the product to have when it is finally made.

A
The measures that are put into place to ensure that the quality standards are met at critical points of the making process.

What does quality assurance aim to produce?
A
Products that are safe, value for money, efficiently produced, and economical for the intended user.

What is tolerance?
A
The range of acceptable accuracy.

What happens when a sample falls outside the tolerance? Why?
A
Production is stopped and adjustments to the tooling are made. This cuts down on waste and saves money on materials.
