What is Client-Centered Therapy?
- Created by Carl Rogers, 3 main features:
- Unconditional positive regard(1) for patient
- Therapist displays empathy(2) and genuineness (3)
What is Gestalt Therapy?
- Client would only focus on fear/anxiety in the presence of a stimuli, gestalt focuses on bringing the other emotions and environment into the forefront when experiencing the anxiety
- Performed in groups
What is the empty chair technique?
Part of Gestalt Therapy
- Imagine someone specific sitting in an empty chair and the do role play
- Helps resolve unfinished business

Inclusion: therapist full into experience
Presence: Express yourself to patient
Commitment: Contact between 2 people, trust.
Dialogue: is lived, excitement in the moment
