What is the climate in the UK
Cool wet winters, warm, wet summers; mild
What are the 5 reasons climate varies in the UK
1/ Latitude 2/ Winds 3/ Distance from the sea 4/ Pressure 5/ Altitude
Explain how latitude affects the climate
1/ Southern parts of the UK are warmer as their lower altitudes
2/ Heat energy is spread over more of the earths surface and therefore northern parts recieve less energy
Explain how winds affects the climate
1/ Uks prevailing winds are from the south-west bring warm, moist air which makes the UK warm and wet
2/ The west of the UK gets more of the warmth and rain than east
