Many old towers destroyed as they did not fit the architects real view pf what Medieval buildings should look like.
Beach ump tower was added with battlements.
Wakefield Tower added with lancet windows and medievalised inside.
How did the Tower grow in significance in the Industrial Period
Tourist site, captured Victorians imagination by having gruesome stories e.g Lady Jane Gray. People could now visit the tower and read exciting stories to enhance their experience.
More medieval boosted the visitor numbers of the Tower of London.
