Importance of the Spine
The spine is an extension of our brain, it houses the spinal cord which is the communication highway, both receiving and sending all information to every organ in our body. Imbalances in the organs affect our spine. Issues in the spine indicate imbalances in our organs.
The spine contains our history - and is the most fundamental indicator of health and longevity
The spine allows our energy to flow between heaven and earth, receives a yin yang charge, along the chakra system
Plough and breath are key to spine health. Create space, open and release tension in between vertebrae

Cervical C1 - C7 Thoracic - 12 vertabrae Lumbar - 5 Sacrum - flat, 5 fused Tailbone/coccyx

Awareness of diaphragm is essential to yogic breathing, helps regulate body systems and helps us relax
Inhale - inverts, massages organs and promotes digestion, rib cage expands, creates space
Exhale - contracts
