Samadhi - super conscious state of mind, bliss, enlightenment

Ahimsa - Non Violence, Compassion, kindness for oneself and others
Satya - Truthfulness
Brahmacharya - Control of impulses of excess, courage and will, moderation
Asteya - Non Stealing, Generosity
Aparigraha - Non-coveting, not accepting of gifts and bribes, no hoarding, posess only as much as necessary
Niyamas
Ethical codes of internal practices for yogi’s internal environment of mind, body, spirit
Saucha - purification of body and mind, of environment
Santosha - contentment, not craving for what we do not have, gratitude
Tapas - self-discipline, internal fire, will power to do something you don’t want to but that will change your life positively, control of impulses
Svadhyaya - self-examination through the study of scripture and truths revealed by sages and seers, learning about our flaws and growing
Ishwara Pranidhana - devotion, dedication and surrender to a higher power + the action of karma yoga, reminds us that we are connected and fills our practice with grace, inner peace and love
