When did the Seven Years War occur and who was it between?
Also called the French/Indian War, was a war between England and France. It was from (1756-1763)
Why was this war a blessing and a curse for England?
England wins all of North America, but has great debt after the war and a lot of land to maintain and colonize. So, the British raise taxes on the colonies to pay off the debt.
How did the war start?
George Washington has a conflict with the French commander and the Iroquois kill the French commander and others. Basically a big misunderstanding that lead to a war.
What was the Albany Plan of Union?
In 1754, the British want the colonies to have a more central government.
What was the Treaty of Paris?
In 1763, the Treaty of Paris officially ended the Seven Years War.
What fundamentally changed the relationship between Britain and the colonies during this time?
England decides to gain economic status through the colonies by raising taxes.
