How is the focus of an active and a passive sentence different?
-passive sentence: the focus is on the action or on the person or thing receiving the action
What happens with the subject of the active sentence? What do you have to put before the object of the passive sentence?
- it becomes the object of the passive sentence; the object of the active sentence becomes the subject of the passive sentence
