- Not so new media (Cornford and Robbings - speed shit)
- Domination by media conglomerates
- Commercialisation
- reinforces elite power
- Decline in quality of Pop Culture

NM is not so new as it relies on old media forms, e.g. internet needs a landline, the only new thing about it is the speed, for example 9/11 was seen worldwide live.
