Q

What infomation is contained in data?

A

The Header= The packet number(which packet it is in a sequence of packets)

The Data= The MAC and IP address of the sender and receiver

The Trailer= Which protocol is being used

May also contain a checksum= A validation check to determine if an error has been introduced
Sender and receiver calculate a checksum using a function applied to the data- if they match, then data hasn’s been corrupted
