Q

Maslows theory of human need

A
Maslow stated that people are motivated to achieve certain needs. When one need is fulfilled, the person seeks to fulfil the next needs. He came up with the 'hierarchy of needs';
Physical needs (food water shelter), safety needs ( secure and safe environment), love and belonging, self esteem needs and self actualisation (using talents and abilities to the full). A person moves up the hierarchy.
Self-actualisation; a person becomes free to explore their creativity and pitential. They are free from the deficit pressures that restrict lives.
