Eysencks theory of personality
It involves three central traits which describe human personality
Introversion/extroversion
Extrovert; individual might be hungry for experience and excitement
Introvert; eager to avoid excitement. Most people are somewhere in between.
Stability/instability
Stability; individual has a calm, confident, care free approach to life.
Instability; an individual has a moody, changeable and restless response to life.
Tough minded/tender minded
A tougher minded person might be careless of other people’s feelings, rights or needs. Tender minded person is likely to be concerned for individual feelings. Few people will be extreme tough/ tender.
He said criminal behaviour is associated with high levels of extroversion and instability.
