What was the final solution + what were the groups of people sent to the camps
• The Nazis formed a plan to get rid of all the Jews and they did this by rounding up all the Jews and sent them to extermination or concentration camps.
• In these camps , they were separated into 2 groups: workers and people who couldn’t work (babies and old people)
• Infants, babies, pregnant women, elderly and disabled people were sent to death in the gas chambers.
• Before Nazi power there were 9 million Jews. By 1945, 2 out of 3 Jews had been killed.
What were the consequences
• 6 million Jews were killed by starvation, disease or gas chambers.
• Gypsies and Romas also suffered.
• 12 Nazi leaders were sentenced to death.
• Many Jews lived in camps as they couldn’t return home and some immigrated.
