16
Q

arcuate line

A

curved ridge through pelvis

17
Q

muscles that flex hip

A

psoas major - T12-L5 to lesser trochanter (lumbar plexus L1-L3)
iliacus - iliac fossa to lesser trochanter (femoral nerve L2-L3)
sartorius - ASIS to medial tibial condyle (femoral nerve L2-L4)
rectus femoris - AIIS to tibial tuberosity (femoral nerve L2-L4)

18
Q

3 ligaments in the hip

A

ischiofemoral - ischium to the femur
iliofemoral - AIIS to intertrochanteric line
pubofemoral - obturator crest (iliopubic eminence) to the intertrochanteric line

19
Q

nerve supply in rec fem

A

femoral nerve 2,3,4

20
Q

pelvic gurdle

A

2 inominate bones & sacrum

21
Q

inguinal ligament

A

1cm deep to surface mark
attaches at ASIS to pubic tubercle

22
Q

muscles that abduct hip

A

gluteus medius - posteror surface of ilium to greater trochanter (sup gluteal nerve L5,S1)
gluteus minimus - posterior surface of ilum to greater trochanter sup gluteal nerve L5, S1)
tensor fascia latae -iliac crest & ASIS to iliotibial tract (superior gluteal nerve L4,L5,S1)

23
Q

pectineus muscle

A

helps with adduction of thigh and flexion

24
Q

gracillis muscle

A

hip adduction, knee flexion

25
Q

muscle that extend the hip

A

gluteus maximus - posterior surface of ilium to gluteal tuberosity on femur (inferior gluteal nerve L5,S1,S2)
gluteus medius - posterior surface of ilium to the greater trochanter (superior gluteal nerve L5,S1)
hamstrings

26
Q

muscles that adduct the hip

A

adductor magnus - oblique head - inferior pubis ramus &ischial ramus to gluteal tuberosity (obturator nerve (L2-L4)
vertical head - ischial tuberosity to adductor tubercle of femur sciatic nerve (L2-L4)
adductor longus - superior pubis ramus to distal linea aspera on femur
adductor brevis - inferior pubis ramus to proximal linea aspera (obturator nerve L3,L4)
Gracilis - pubic body to medial surface of tibia (obturator nerve L3,L4)
