Because the other car wasn’t even a year old. The dad got it without permission.

Why did they get a new car instead of the golden Cadillac?
Because the family/ dad did’t want to get into any more trouble like they did before.
Why was Lois holding a knife?
Because she couldn’t sleep. She thought a police man would come and arrest the dad so she pulled out the knife.
Where was the family going in the Cadillac?
To their parent’s/ grandpa’s/ grandma’s farm.
Why did the other family members get lost?
Because the dad got pulled over.

The dad.
Who got arrested?
The dad.
Who didn’t fall asleep int the car?
Lois.
Why was everyone sleeping in the car?
Because the dad needed some rest.
