Medial crus

A

Divided into right and left.

Right longer (L1-L4)--> right medial crus form eso hiattus
Left shorter (L1-L2)

Lateral crus

A

medail arcuate lig ( L1- transverse process of L2), cover psoas major

lateral arcuate ligament ( transverse process of L1- tip of 12 rib). covers quadratus lumborum

Apertures of diaphram

A

Caval: T8, IVC + right phrenic

Esophageal: T10, esophagus + vagal trunk, left gastric vein.

Aortic hiatus: T12, aorta + thoracic duct

Sternocostal foramen : sup epigastric vessels

Intermediate hiatus: azygus, hemiazygus, greater + lesser splanchinic
