As it travels around the body, some of it gets stuck in our blood vessels and narrows them to put a strain on the heart.
What can happen when the fatty deposit forms blood clots?
The blood clots can block the narrow vessels
What could happen when the blood clots get stuck in the vessels?
A heart attack can occur
What exactly is a heart attack?
A blockage in one or more vessels delivering blood to the heart.
What is a stroke?
A blockage in one of the vessels leading to the brain
What makes it hard for the heart to pump blood?
Too much salt in our blood
What happens when your blood pressure rises?
Your heart cannot respond whilst you are doing exercise so that’s why you get tired more quickly
What 2 nutrients provide us with energy?
Carbohydrates and fats
What are processed foods?
Food thats been changed prior to being sold. They often contain high levels of salt, sugar, or chemical preservatives.
What are some examples of processed foods?

- chips

Most of the fibre is removed
