- Assumes behaviour is casused by our biology and the way our body works- “sll that is psychological is biological”
- The mind resides in the physical structures of the brain- all thoughts feelings and emotions have a physiological cause
- Psychology is a science- behaviour should be studied through objective and scientific means (lab experiments)
