Q

What is Neurotransmitter?

A

< Neurotransmitters are your body’s chemical messenger’s.
<They carry messages from the presynaptic neuron , across the synapse , to the post .Synaptic neuron.

Examples of neurotransmitters?

A

Neurotransmitters: Serotonin
Function :Mood regulation
Behaviour : OCD

Neurotransmitters: Dopamine
Function : Reward

Q

What is a phenotype?

A

< The expression of their genes which lead to the observable characteristics of a person .Influenced the interaction of the gene with the environment.
E.G we may have a gene know for aggression (MAOA) gene but it is only expressed when it triggered.

Q

What is a genotype?

A

<Our genetic makeup ,which is fixed from birth.
Example: We may have a gene for aggressive behaviour known as MAOA gene.
