Compare the French Revolution with the American War for Independence. How were they different?
The French REvolution was an attempt to give men rights without responsibility. In France, the people who disagreed with the Revolution were imprisoned or killed. Atheism was at an all-time high, resulting in the bloody Reign of Terror. The American War for Independence, on the other hand, was firmly grounded in principles–not selfish desires. America had no “peasants” the demanded equality, and the War for Independence was not for equality but for freedom
