3 Factors
- Scoring:
0= Absent,
1= Inconsistent
2= Consistently present
- Scores ranges from 0-40
- Cut-off: 30+ is a psychopath
- Below 21= Non psychopath
- In between = Psychotic traits
Info gathered from self-report, interviews w relatives, observations, court/arrest record

A

PSYCHOPATH:
-> Must lack remorse
-> Shallow emotions
- Calculated (most of the time)
- Pleasant/deceptive exterior
- Instrumental aggression
PSYCHopathy focuses on EMOTIONAL component
APD/SOCIOPATH
-> Impulsive
-> Emotional
- May lack remorse
- Constantly in conflict w society
- Reactive aggression
ADP focuses on BEHAVIOR

-> PCL-R may not be the best to test them
-> Rate higher in:
- Deception/manipulation
- Relational aggression (jealousy, self-harm)
- Use sexuality to obtain what they want
- More likely to have co-morbid disorders (BP)
-> Not as overly grandiose as males

  2. GSR to aversive stimuli-> Anticipation to electric shock= Psychopath has reduction in galvanic skin responses (sweat) when receiving shock
  3. Startle Reflex-> Psychopaths don’t have reflex/startle responses
  4. Yawning-> Non-psychopaths yawn when someone close to them yawns and psychopaths don’t
  5. Interpreting facial and vocal expressions
    -> Psychopaths can’t tell apart the emotions sad, anger, disgust, neither tone of voices
