Lamina

set of axons within the CNS, also know asa projection. If axons extend from cell bodies in structure A to synapses onto B, we say that the fibers ‘project’ from A onto B.
Nerve
Set of axons in periphery, either from CNS -> muscle/gland, or from sensory organ -> CNS
Nucleus
cluster of neuron cell bodies within the CNS
Ganglion
Cluster of neuron cell bodies, usually outside CNS (eg sympathetic nervous system
Gyrus
protuberance on surface of the brain
Sulcus
fold/groove that separates one gyrus from another
Fissure
long, deep sulcus
