What is the function of teeth?
A
Teeth help us to digest food, enable us to speak properly and are attractive.

What is tooth decay?
A
When plague is not removed, bacteria acts on food particles in the mouth producing acids. These acids wear away the enamel.

What is the structure of teeth?
A
The crown (visible part) is made up of enamel, dentine and the pulp cavity. The root (below the gum) is made up of bone, gum, cementum and blood vessels.
