What is the function of calcium?
Calcium is needed for strong bones and teeth.
What is the deficiency disease when lacking in Calcium?
Your bones become soft and you can get what is called rickets in children and osteomalacia in adults. Osteoporosis (brittle bones) and tooth decay can also occur.
Where is Calcium found?
Calcium is found in milk, cheese, yogurt, tinned fish (salmon and sardines), bread, green vegetables, sesame seeds and water.

1200mg.
What vitamin helps us absorb Calcium?
Vitamin D.
What is the function of Iron?
Iron helps us make healthy red blood cells. Iron is needed to make Haemoglobin, which is a substance in red blood cells. Haemoglobin helps transport oxygen around our bodies.
What is the deficiency disease when lacking in Iron?
You feel weak, tired, “run down” . This eventually leads to anaemia.
Where can you get Iron?
You can get it from red meat, liver, fortified breakfast cereals, green vegetables, brown bread and whole cereals.

What is the function of Fluorine?
Healthy teeth.
