  • Helps us adapt to environments (eg. house, building)

Technology contributes to our social life in four distinct ways

  1. Possibility of society - solidify relationships
  2. Mediators - changes what it is to be in the world (eg. glasses make people competent)
  3. Members of moral and political associations (eg. discrimination - stairs for disabled, speed bumps)
  4. Gatherings - gather material from different places and times
