Manager is team leader and is responsible for defining the goals, methods, and functioning of the teamTeam only responsible for actual execution
Self managing teams

Self directing teams
Management has responsibility only for the team’s organizational context Teams determine own objectives and methods by which to achieve them

Responsible for executing task, managing own performance processes, designing group, and designing the organizational context
