TC 3-04.11 Aircrew Training Program Flashcards
1
Q
Individual aviator responsibilities:
A
- Ensure they remain technically and tactically proficient at all assigned tasks
- Remain current
- Execute individually tailored self-development plan
2
Q
Readiness level training: RL progression
-RL1
A
- Crewmember is fully qualified and proficient in base and ATP required mission and additional tasks.
- Sustain and improve proficiency in tasks based on continuing training.
- Must complete continuation requirements and stay current.
3
Q
Readiness level training: RL progression
-RL2
A
- Crewmember is fully qualified and proficient in all base tasks.
- Train to proficiency in mission and additional tasks in support of the METL.
4
Q
Readiness level training: RL progression
-RL3
A
- Crewmember is not qualified in the aircraft
- Training to proficiency in base tasks (1000-series tasks)
5
Q
Flight activity categories (FAC)
-FAC 1
A
- High degree of proficiency in the tactical employment of assigned aircraft.
- Higher semiannual flying-hour requirements.
- All operational flying positions and company level with assigned aircraft.
- All aviators with less than 2 years of initial operational assignment after graduation from flight school.
6
Q
Flight activity categories (FAC)
-FAC 2
A
- Require same level of proficiency in individual and crew tasks as FAC 1, but less in company and battalion collective tasks.
- Collective proficiency should be sufficient to minimize training.
- Units without a METL or MTOE that supports tactical employment of its assigned aircraft.
7
Q
Flight activity categories (FAC)
-FAC 3
A
- TDA units and to positions in brigade level and above.
- Prohibited from performing crewmember duties in army aircraft.
- Remain current with simulator.
8
Q
PC responsibilities:
A
- Unit’s first level trainer
- Proficient in aircraft and all aspects of unit METL
- Responsible for safe operation of the aircraft, safety of occupants, and the conduct of all operational and training aspects of a specific mission
9
Q
Commander’s evaluation:
A
- The purpose is to determine a crewmember’s proficiency and corresponding RL.
- Evaluation results in initial RL designation.
- Completed according to AR 95-1
- Must occur within 45 calendar days after crewmember signs into the unit or after the effective date of up-slip, whichever occurs last.
10
Q
RL Progression:
-Tasks required to progress from RL3 to RL1 are:
A
- Base 1000 series tasks
- Mission 2000 series tasks
- Additional 3000 series tasks (special tasks approved by DES)
- Maintenance 4000 series tasks
11
Q
RL Progression:
-Time frames
A
- 90 consecutive days to progress from one RL to the next.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in each mode of flight (day, night, NVD, or CBRN).
- RL progression evaluation may be continuous or administered after completing training.
- If an acceptable delay (TDY, deployment, medical/nonmedical suspension from flight, grounding, leave, less than 50% aircraft available, documented flight cancellations) exceeds 45 consecutive days, active army crewmembers must restart current phase of RL progression.
12
Q
Individual Aircrew Training Folder (IATF)
A
-Commander will ensure an IATF is prepared and maintained for each RCM and NCM.
13
Q
Commander’s task list (CTL):
A
- Task list that supports a specific duty position.
- Consists of DA form 7120-R series and its enclosures.
- Established when a crewmember is integrated into a unit’s ATP.
- Written agreement between the commander and the crewmember.
- Requirements are tailored to proficiency training.
- Designates the authorized duties and flight stattions a crewmember may occupy and the hours, tasks, iterations, evaluation requirements, and responsibilities the crewmember must accomplish during the training year.
14
Q
ATP requirements:
-Crewmembers designated RL 1 must complete:
A
- Semiannual and annual task iterations in all modes of flight per the CTL.
- Semiannual and annual flying hour minimums designated by CTL.
- Annual standardization flight evaluation.
- Annual instrument flight evaluation.
- Annual NVG flight evaluation.
- Annual operator’s manual examination.
- Annual ACT-E sustainment module for primary aircraft.

Q
ATP requirements:
-Additional training requirements:
A
- Local area orientation.
- Aircrew information reading files.
- Airfield operations and procedures.
- Airfield layout and facilities.
- Local area orientation flight.
- Aircrew coordination training - enhanced.
