1st step

A

Greet the client. Tell them your name and inform them you will be examining the patient

2nd step

A

Put gloves on
ABC
Airway - Open the mouth and check airway is clear and unobstructed while maintaining personal safety
Breathing - watch patient inspiring and expiring
Circulation - listen to the patients heart rate and peripheral pulse at the same time State no deficits could be heard
Neurological - check pupeadal reflex with pen light
Write findings down as in airway clear, RR is 40, HR is 120, no deficits can be heard, neurological status - pupils are reactive
