A 30 kg German Shepherd has been brought into the surgery after being involved in a road traffic accident. He has fractured his left radius and ulna and has a small wound on the pad.

- Aseptically apply an appropriate wound dressing
- Apply an appropriate bandage to the affected limb

Apply adhesive bandage Put cotton wool between the toes Apply softban Apply splint Apply kband Apply protective layer Ensure you bandage to the joint

State you are checking the tension to ensure it’s not too tight
Ensure no padding is exposed
